During the last six months there has been a lot of change at BAOBAB Travel.
The company founders, Louise de Waal and Paul Giess, decided after 12 years to leave behind the world of arranging holidays in exchange for more time and flexibility to build their Tourism Consultancy as provider of sustainable tourism & environmental services in Africa.
With plans to expand from the platform they have created, I have taken over the reins at BAOBAB Travel and will continue to build on Paul & Louise’s vision to explore and develop sustainable and ethical African holiday experiences that inspire our clients to embrace a different way of travel.
As part of the change in ownership we have relocated our head office from the UK to South Africa in order to be close to our clients whilst they are traveling, and closer to our partners on the ground. Being based in Cape Town affords us the opportunity to visit our destinations more frequently and provide local and up to date advice to our clients.
Along with our relocation, we have decided it’s a good time to refresh our company brand and launch an exciting new website too, providing a user-friendly experience. We are currently adding to our travel portfolio, so be sure to visit us again as we will soon reveal our new carefully selected collection of experience driven holidays in Africa.
