Botswana - Featured Trips

During this 13 day adventure safari through Botswana you will experience the wide open spaces of the Makgadikgadi Pans, the wildlife of Moremi Game Reserve, the unique scenery and waterways of the Okavango Delta, and one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World, the famous Victoria Falls. This safari is only available during the dry season from July to October.

On arrival in Maun you will be met by your guide and transferred by road to Planet Baobab just outside the village of Gweta. Take a stroll with your Guide through the surrounding bush as he explains the desert ecology of the area.
Ond day 2 you will go to the nearby village of Gweta, to visit a local school, outdoor village court and a traditional healer. Alternatively, visit nearby Nxai Xini pan where you can find ancient fossil plates, stone tools and fossilised horns and bones. A traditional meal at a cattle post is followed by an afternoon excursion to Ntwetwe pan for a quad bike ride across the massive salt pan. This evening enjoy a barbeque dinner, and att the end of an action-packed day snuggle into your toasty bedroll under the phenomenal Makgadikgadi night sky.

Return to Planet Baobab before being transferred to Maun and then onward to Mankwe Camp by road. Please note this a long traveling day. Mankwe Bush Camp is situated in a private reserve in the Khwai area, offering close proximity to Moremi Game Reserve in the Okavango Delta.
Over the next few days you will do a night game drive, a full day excursion to the Khwai Community area and a full day excursion to Moremi Game Reserve.

You will be transferred to Maun by road and onward to Gunns Camp in the Okavango Delta by air in a small aircraft. Gunns Camp is located on a small isle separated by the Boro River. The area is picturesque with palm dotted islands surrounded by flowing channels and lagoons, overlooking the legendary Chiefs Island and bordering the Moremi Game Reserve. Activities on offer are mokoro excursions and guided walks which allow you to experience the beauty of the unique Okavango Delta without the interference of engines as there are no game drive vehicles on the island.
Overnight at Gunns Camp on FB basis, including beverages

You will continue your journey to Kasane by light aircraft and spend 3 nights at Chobe Safari Lodge. The lodge is situated in Kasane only a few hundred metres from the entrance to CHobe National Park. Activities available include game drives in the Chobe National Park and a boat cruises on the Chobe River. The Park is famous for its large buffalo and elephant herds. In addition to a variety of predators, there is an abundance of wild game and bird life which decorate these beautiful waterways.

Cross the Zambezi River into Zambia and transfer by road to Livingstone. The following 2 nights will be spent at the Zambezi Sun, located on the eastern side of Victoria Falls. A vast number of activities can be arranged at the activity centre at the hotel,including elephant back safaris, white water rafting, Zambezi river cruises, bungi jumping, helicopter flights just to name a few.
Overnight at the Zambezi Sun on BB basis, excluding beverages.

You will be transferred to Livingstone Airport for your flight home.
