Egypt - Places To Stay
Nile River - A Dahabiya was a sailing ship built in the beginning of the 20th century for the aristocrats as a leisure boat to go for shorter or longer tours on the Nile. Sometimes they used it just to get out on the river and get some fresh air on a hot summer evening and other times to travel the Nile in style. The famous Nile explorers did it, Agatha Christie did it and now it is your turn to do the same.
The SS Hadeel (45 x 7.5 m) has 3 decks. Lounge, bar and dining room are taking up the entrance of the boat and below (but above the water line) you will find the cabins with private bathrooms. On the 2 outer decks there are deck chairs, comfortable sofas and you choose your place in the sun or the shadow. A small Jacuzzi is available on the sun deck.
In your cabin (11m2) there are 2 beds, wardrobe, safe, mini-bar, television and a large window. The bathroom (ca 2 m2) has a small shower cabin, wash basin, bathroom cabinet, toilet and hair dryer. The whole ship is decorated in a beautiful arabesque style with modern elements. Hadeel has two large sails, traditional style, and the wind will take her from one sight to another. This trip will give you a truly unforgettable, classical cruise along the Nile.
