But the main focus of this trip is to go off the beaten track, to visit and explore Jordan's the wild places such as Dana and Ajlun Nature Reserves and Wadi Rum. There are several opportunities during this tour for guided walks of varying duration through the rocky canyons and gorges of wild Jordan providing the opportunity to glance wildlife such as ostrich and Oryx.

There are two walking trails you can choose of either 2 or 8 km.

Continue to visit Jerash with a possibility for lunch in a local restaurant in Jerash. This remains today as one of the most beautiful and best preserved Greco-roman cities in the world. Continue to Mount Nebo, where it is believed that Moses was buried. The mountain offers spectacular views of the holy land.

Continue to the lowest reserve on earth Wadi Mujib, which has several flowing rivers that bring unexpected richness of wildlife including fish, amphibians, birds, and large endangered animals like the Syrian wolf. Mujib's river corridors offer some of the most dramatic hiking in Jordan, with beautiful narrow canyons and deep pools for swimming. Afternoon trekking through the reserve. Siq Trail takes around 2.5 hrs and is an easy hike into the main gorge of the Mujib River. From Mujib Bridge walk over the dam and follow the course of the river between towering sandstone cliffs to the base of a large waterfall. Depending on seasonal rainfall levels, the gorge may contain pools deep enough for swimming. Continue to Dana Nature Reserve.

Late afternoon drive to Petra. Overnight at Amra Palace Hotel or similar on BB basis.

Day 5: Petra
The ancient Nabatean city of Petra was recently voted as one of the Seven Wonders of the World and in 1985 Petra was designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is without a doubt Jordan's most valuable treasure and greatest tourist attraction.

Begin your visit with an enjoyable walk or a short horse ride from the main entrance the old city of Petra El Siq. As you reach the end of the Siq, the first and probably most well-known monument slowly comes into view - the famous Treasury 'Al Khazneh'.

'The Rose City' is an extraordinary and unique place, which was built by the Arab Nabateans more than 2000 years ago. The Nabateans carved their monumental tombs, palaces, temples and treasury from the desert's natural rose-colored rocks and sandstones. Petra was an important junction for the silk, spice and other trade routes that linked the Eastern world with that of the West. You will be guided through the architectural and spiritual wonders of this majestic place. Overnight at Amra Palace Hotel or similar on BB basis.

Day 6: Beida and Wadi Rum
After breakfast visit Beidha, often called little Petra. The entrance of the village is a narrow, about 325 m long canyon named Siq Al Barid ('Cold Canyon'), as the sun never reaches the canyon to warm it. There is something to see in every corner of the siq, such as Nabatean temples, water wells and painted houses.

Continue to Wadi Rum, 'The Valley of the Moon'- Jordan's largest valley cut into sandstone and granite of its southwest desert. Here you will be picked up by a local Bedouin jeep to explore this splendid desert. You will drive (approx 2 hrs) to Bed of the Valley of the Moon to the great mountain of Al Khazali. Discover the many cultures that inhabited Wadi Rum since prehistoric times. The Thamudic, Nabataean, Greek and Arabic civilizations all left their mark in the form of rock paintings, graffiti, and temples.

Drive to Sand Rose Camp for overnight on HB basis.

Day 7: Dead Sea
After breakfast continue via Wadi Araba to the Dead Sea, the lowest spot on earth (400 m below sea level). The Dead Sea has an historical and spiritual legacy of its own. It is believed to be the site of five biblical cities: Sodom, Gomorrah, Admah, Zeboiim, and Zoar. Spend the day sunbathing, swimming and relaxing in the gently lapping waters of the Dead Sea and be amazed that you will not sink! Treat yourself to a soothing massage or try the well-known healing powers of minerals from the sea's muddy floor. Overnight at Amman Arena Hotel or similar on BB basis.
