Kenya - Highlights
Kenya is home to the original African Safari and is possibly the most popular safari destination in Africa. The word "safari" means "journey" in Swahili, Kenya's official language. BAOBAB Travel offers a fabulous range of trips combining some of the best safari destinations with tropical beaches along the Kenyan Coast.
Kenya is known for the Masai Mara game reserve, the location of the annual Wildebeest Migration when thousands of animals cross the wild waters of the Mara River. The Masai Mara is one of Africa's greatest wildlife reserves with huge densities of all the major game species. Nowhere in Africa are you more likely to see the big cats and the huge herds of herbivores they prey upon. A Hot Air Balloon flight over the plains of the Masai Mara is the ultimate African safari experience. Flying at treetop level, you will enjoy a panoramic view of the wildlife spectacle below. Experience Kenya's culture and learn more about the Masaai Tribe and their nomadic lifestyle, distinctive dress and tribal customs.
In the highlands of the Kenyan Rift Valley the rugged volcanic landscape is alive with wildlife as well as towering mountains and gorges. A private safari in the Oserian Game Corridor and Hells Gate can be complemented with dramatic gorge walks. The areas alkaline lakes also draw in huge flocks of bright pink flamingos and a lake safari by boat is an experience not to be missed.
The Kenyan Coast offers beautiful white sandy beaches and coral reefs that teem with life for scuba divers and snorkellers. There is also the freshwater coast of Lake Victoria where luxurious accommodation and boating safaris are the order of the day. Both destinations are a relaxing way to end your safari in Kenya.

 | ) Do you find your wildlife safari experience more important than how many golden taps your accommodation has? Then this is your Kenya wildlife safari. This trip offers an exceptional and exclusive wildlife experience with high quality guiding. All game drives are conducted in customised 4x4 safari vehicles taking a maximum of only 6 passengers. All driver/guides are wildlife experts and certified by the Kenya Professional Safari Guides Association. The exclusive bush camps are located in private wildlife conservancies away from the tourist minibuses in both Amboseli and Masai Mara, but at a fraction of the safari lodge prices!

In addition, walking safaris with Maasai guides and night drives are allowed in these areas. At the same time, the conservancies are conveniently located with easy access to the Amboseli National Park and Maasai Mara Reserve.
You will need a sense of adventure! You stay in real bush camps on small camp sites with just 9 dome tents with solar lighting. You will need to be prepared to sleep on comfortable mattresses with sleeping bags on the floor.
