Koiyaki Lemek Region - The Kicheche Mara Camp is located in a prime wilderness area in Kenya's famous Masai Mara. The small camp has an intimate, friendly and relaxed atmosphere and can accommodate a maximum of 22 guests. The comfortable tents are set in an enfenced and secluded thicket of Euclea and African Olives. All tents have en-suite bathrooms and beautiful views across overlooking the plains. Some tents are closer together which is ideal for families.
Their Nyati tent acts as the camp lounge with comfortable seating, a library, board games, cards and local crafts. Meals are taken al-fresco when the weather is good. The menu includes African and international dishes and fresh bread and pastries are baked on a daily basis.
Located on the Aitong plains in the northern Koiyaki Lemek region of the Masai Mara.
Accessible by scheduled flight from Nairobi, approx 1 hour, and followed by a 30 minute game drive to the lodge. Road transfers from Nairobi can also be arranged, approx 4.5 hours.

Airstrip transfers, unlimited shared game drives by 4WD vehicle, services of a KPSGA qualified driver/guide, bush walks, full board accommodation, drinks and laundry.
Children are accepted but parents must be aware that the camp is not fenced and no additional facilities are available to occupy them outside other than normal excursions. No baby equipment is provided.

Kicheche's impact on the environment has been minimised through the following measures: all non-biodegradable waste is removed from the region to a suitable collection point in Nairobi, recycled charcoal dust pellets are brought in from Nairobi for water heating.
Kicheche Camp has a Bronze rating from the Eco-Tourism Society of Kenya. The Kicheche Camps organization is also involved in a number of community projects around Kenya. Their mission is to encourage the preservation of the environment whilst improving the welfare of the community through improved health and education facilities.

The lodge accepts credit card payments (AMEX, VISA and MASTER CARD) or cash (EURO, USD, GBP and Kenya Shilling).
The Camp is closed during April and May.
There is no mains power however 24-hour power for lighting is supplied through a solar invertor system. Camera batteries can also be charged on this system.
