Kenya - Places To Stay
Mombasa - Msambweni Beach House is located just south of Mombasa, overlooking a private beach and the Indian Ocean. There is also a luxury tented room for a 'wilder' alternative. Surrounded by natural land, the small family owned and run guesthouse offers luxurious rooms, a tented suite and two private, freestanding villas.
Main House - The main house that features high ceilings has three spacious, luxurious en-suite rooms with private verandahs. The infinity pool and jetty offer the best views of the sun setting over the Indian Ocean.
Lamu Villas - Not far from the main house are two Lamu villas well appointed with their own swimming pools and Jacuzzi facing the sea. A private cook and waiter are at your disposal.
Near Mombasa on the South Coast of Kenya.
Flights are available to Mombasa Airport from Nairobi, followed by a road transfer to Msambweni of approximately 1.5 hrs.

Diving and game viewing excursions to the Kisite Marine Park and Shimba Hills National Park can be arranged.
Msambweni Beach House indirectly supports a minimum of 400 local people. Fresh fruits and fish in particular are purchased from the village, fishing and village trips are taken by locals who also sell their wares in an organised way at the property for a fixed price.
Msambweni also supports the Round Table Mombasa's annual "Week of Healing" where doctors carries out major operations free of charge for members of the local community who cannot afford medical care.

These are some of the small steps taken to try and help minimize their impact:
Power saving lamps have been used where possible.
All pumps and water heaters work on timers to save energy. Msambweni House is starting to replace the water heaters by a solar powered system. The electric water heaters will be staying as a back-up.
Thanks to the two above actions, the electricity consumption has decreased by 30%.
USD, Kenya Shillings and all major credit cards accepted. A 5% service charge is applicable on all credit card payments at Msambweni House.
