Kenya - Places To Stay
Mombasa - Tijara Beach is an exclusive retreat set on 5 acres of colourful gardens overlooking the Indian Ocean. Accommodation consists of only four spacious luxury cottages, each located on its own cliff head with large open decks offering spectacular views of the Indian Ocean. Handcrafted Swahili furniture reflect the warmth and character of the local architecture, and a magnificent fresh water pool and al fresco dining area complete this enchanting resort. Should you be inclined to be pampered, the in-house beauty therapist and masseuse is at your disposal.
Tijara's main dining area offers an al fresco setting with a comfortable chill out area to relax in after meals. Alternatively dine privately on your own veranda or romantically on the cliff above the beach. Freshly-caught fish as well as fresh produce form the basis of their delicious dining options, but the chef is more then willing to satisfy any special requests.
6km south of Mombasa Island in Pungu
Tijara Beach is approximately a 45 minutes drive from Moi International Airport and a 30 minutes drive time from Ukunda Airstrip.
