Sesriem - Desert Homestead is a homely lodge located close to the highlight of your tour - the dramatic desert landscape of Sossusvlei. This is the ideal location to visit the deep red sands of the Namib and scale the dunes above the infamous Dead Vlei. Your guide will take you across the petrified landscape of Dead Vlei and find a shaded location to prepare a bush brunch for you amongst the peace of the desert. The wide grassy valley is sheltered by the Nubib, Tsaris and Naukluft mountains with a view reaching the distant dunes of the Namib Desert in the west. In this exquisite position, they offer simple but stylish accommodation in thatched chalets, which were designed with the fragile beauty of this remarkable environment in mind.

The Desert Homestead lies approx. 32 km southeast of Sesriem.

Reach the lodge by road (self-drive or using the Dune Runner shuttle), or by small plane (using the Dune Hopper air shuttle). More information on request. A 2 night stay is recommended.
