There are no fences between the national park and the private reserves, enabling wildlife to move freely between the different sectors. The Greater Kruger is home to an impressive number of mammal species, including the Big Five, rich bird and plant life and even San rock paintings and other archaeological sites. The park is also part of the Kruger to Canyons Biosphere, an area designated by UNESCO as an International Man and Biosphere Reserve.

There are various accommodation options available in the area. We try to avoid large establishments and prefer to use smaller camps and lodges that have a minimum impact on the environment. Below you will find a selection of our preferred safari lodges carefully selected with our responsible travel philosophy in mind.
