South Africa - Places To Stay
Magoebaskloof, Tzaneen - The Coach House (5 star) is built on the site of an original staging post and hotel used by travelers in the feverish gold rush days of the late 19th century. Now an elegant country hotel with panoramic views of the spectacular Drakensberg Mountains. It offers world-class hospitality, luxurious comfort and scenic tranquillity in the friendly ambience of a gracious country estate.
The comfortable, well-appointed en-suite rooms each with private verandas and breathtaking mountain views have romantic fireplaces. All rooms are fitted with luxurious percale cotton sheets and mohair blankets, heated towel rails and personal bathrobes. The bathrooms have an extensive range of guest amenities and the rooms are stocked with fresh flowers, spring water, fresh fruit and homemade biscuits daily. The Suites and Premier rooms have log-burning fireplaces to snuggle up on a chilly winter's night.
The Coach House is renowned for the finest breakfast in the country - a feast of fruit, yoghurt, cereals, cold meats, smoked salmon, cheeses, homemade breads and pastries and many more mouth-watering delights of their cooked breakfasts menu. Tantalize your taste buds with mouth-watering lunches and candle-lit dinners from the a la carte menu in their Zeederberg Restaurant and compliment this with some of South Africa's finest wines from their wine cellar.
