City Bowl, Cape Town - Four Rosmead is an exclusive 4 star guesthouse situated on the slopes of Table Mountain in the suburb of Oranjezicht with beautiful views of the mountain, Lions Head, Signal Hill, Table Bay and Cape Town city. This classified monument was built in 1903 and recently restored. Its interior is chic, eclectic and contemporary with a subtle yet distinctive African spirit, enhanced by a great collection of original South African artwork (most pieces are for sale). Its landscaped gardens, a pamper spa offering a variety of massage treatments and a patio overlooking a heated salt water swimming pool sunk into a pool deck & herb garden all contribute giving it a feel of an urban sanctuary, allowing you to relax & unwind while exploring Cape Town and its surrounding area.
All category rooms are well appointed with extra length king-size beds and mod coms such as air-conditioning/heating, heated towel rails, under-tile heating, bath robes, phone, broadband WiFi and in-room entertainment with satellite TV, DVD player (in-house DVD library available to guests) and Ipod docking station. Some rooms have a fireplace, private garden, balcony or courtyard.

Within walking distance of the city, and restaurants and shops on Kloof Street and 5 minutes drive from the Waterfront and Clifton and Camps Bay beaches. The guesthouse also has its own private spa. If you feel like staying in, they can arrange lunch & dinner orders from local restaurants, plated at the guesthouse and delivered to your room.
Staff - All staff receive thorough training throughout their time in employment at Four Rosmead, ensuring that they obtain saleable skills for future. Furthermore they encourage further education by facilitating study loans. They also provide supplements to their staff in winter and educate them on issues such as healthy eating.
Energy - The swimming pool is solar heated, low voltage energy saving light bulbs are used wherever possible and all the rooms will soon be equipped with an energy saving device that switches off all high consumption items such as air conditioners when the room is not occupied.
Water resources - The garden has been landscaped using plants and trees suited to Cape Town's hot & dry climate and a grey water recycling system is used to water the gardens. The pool filtering system also has a water saving device.
Other - All excess food from the guesthouse is donated to Feedback, a programme aimed at communities in the Cape Town area where hunger and malnourishment are a way of life.
Carefully selected artwork crafted by local South African artists are on display. Most pieces are for sale providing a tangible memory as well as income for the artist.
