There are countless activities available in & around Stellenbosch, including personalised wine-tastings, golf, horse riding, hiking, trout fishing, craft shopping and helicopter trips. The experienced team at River Manor are always on hand for advise and personalised arrangements.
River Manor is involved in several community projects and as they phrase it 'put back into the community a little of what we have been blessed with and so lucky to have achieved'.
KYAMANDI HOME OF SAFETY: Despite all the hardships of growing up in poor communities, many of South Africa's children also have deal with neglect and abuse. Established 5 years ago, Kyamandi Home provides shelter, food and a loving home environment for both orphaned and abused children, who would otherwise have no place to go to. They hope to expand this programme in the future to include the opportunity for these children to attend school and reach their full potential in life.
VLOTTENBERG COMMUNITY PROJECT: Marginalized communities are an ever-present challenge in South Africa. Without a firm base from which to grow their community structure, family life becomes greatly disadvantaged, high unemployment rate a reality with few opportunities for these communities to fulfill their true potential. River Manor provides this community with essential nourishment through food packs and run monthly English conversational classes for both primary and high school children to improve their proficiency in this second language.
