Start with a few days relaxing on an idyllic Robinson Crusoe Island boasting 9 km of deserted beach, followed by safari in the Selous, the largest Game Reserve in Tanzania. The number of tourists is capped to limit the environmental impact in Selous together with its immense size, gives you a real sense of isolation, exploration and discovery. Unlike Tanzania's northern National Parks, walking safaris with an armed ranger are permitted in Selous. You will finish on Kiwengwa beach, a beautiful white sandy beach lined with coconut palms and spectacular views across a coral reef to the azure Indian Ocean beyond.

On arrival in Dar, you will be transferred by private taxi & boat to Lazy Lagoon Island (approx 1.5 hrs). Lazy Lagoon lies in the Zanzibar Channel offshore from mainland Bagamoyo. An idyllic Robinson Crusoe Island, the perfect way to start your holiday. Overnight at Lazy Lagoon Lodge on a FB basis.

You can spend your time swimming in the pool or sea, snorkelling, kayaking, windsurfing, sailing or just relaxing in a hammock watching the sun set. Overnight at Lazy Lagoon Lodge on a FB basis.

Transfer back to Dar-es-Salaam domestic terminal for your internal flight to Selous. You will be met at the Selous airstrip and transferred to Sable Mountain Lodge.
Selous is the largest Game Reserve in Tanzania and yet remains remote and wild. To maintain this status as one of the most untouched game reserves in Africa, the number of tourists is capped to limit the environmental impact of tourism and this, together with the immense size of this park, makes it ideal if you are seeking a sense of isolation, exploration, and discovery. Unlike most other Tanzanian National Parks, walking safaris with an armed ranger are permitted in Selous and you also have the opportunity for game drives and river safaris. Sable Mountain offers a good choice of half- or full-day game drives, walking safari with an armed ranger, boat safari on Lake Tagalala, early morning predator hunt and cultural visit to Masaai village. Overnight at Sable Mountain Lodge on a FB basis.

After breakfast you will be transferred to the nearest airstrip for a flight to Dar and onwards to Zanzibar. On Zanzibar you will be transferred by private taxi to the Shooting Star Inn on the East coast of the island. Shooting Star Inn is nestled on a headland, amongst lush tropical gardens, overlooking the beautiful fine white sands and coconut palms of Kiwengwa beach. The atmosphere is intimate and tranquil with spectacular views across a coral reef to the azure Indian Ocean beyond. While staying in Shooting Star there is the option to do some diving with the dive centre near to the hotel. Overnight at Shooting Star Inn on a HB basis.

Transfer from the East coast to Stone Town, where you will check into 236 Hurumzi, which is located in the heart of Stone Town with its labyrinth of narrow streets. It is walking distance from the winding alleys, bustling bazaars, mosques and grand Arab houses with their brass-studded, carved wooden doors. Stone Town is steeped in history reflecting Zanzibar's exotic history as an important trading post for Arabs and Europeans in years gone by. It offer fabulous architecture and is a great place to buy local curios (arts & crafts).Overnight at 236 Hurumzi on a BB basis.

Transfer to Zanzibar Airport in time for your onward flight.
