Katavi National Park - Katavi Wildlife Camp is one of the only two camps in Katavi. Katavi is universally recognized as one of the few truly remote and untouched areas of Tanzania's immense conservation areas, offering exclusive and unforgettable safari experiences. The habitat is predominantly high plains grassland, which becomes swampy wetland during the rains, interspersed with fringes of miombo woodland and scattered acacia.

The tents are built onto wooden platforms, shaded by an extended thatch roof and are luxurious in size and furnishings. They are cunningly set back in amongst the trees that line the Kitasunga Plain, providing both shade and camouflage in this prime game viewing area, where the wildlife are unaware of your presence. From your tent you can watch the daily movements of game between food and water and witness the dramas unfold. All tents have solar heated water. Dining is in the mess tent or under the stars.

The park can only realistically be reached by light aircraft from/to Dar es Salaam, Selous, Arusha or Zanzibar via Ruaha.
