Lake Manyara - Kirurumu Tented Lodge is set high on the edge of the Great Rift Valley, enjoying a marvelous panoramic view eastward over Lake Manyara, the Rift floor and Mt. Losimingori. Behind Kirurumu, the Ngorongoro Highlands rise in green and fertile splendor forming the gateway to Ngorongoro Crater, the Olduvai Gorge and the Serengeti. The lodge is extremely unobtrusive, having been built with great sensitivity in line with Kirurumu's commitment to eco-sensitive tourism. The basic tented rooms are comfortable and have en-suite bathrooms. The lodge has a bar and dining room with beautiful views across the Rift Valley and Lake Manyara.

On a mobile safari, a road transfer from Arusha, which will take approximately 2-3 hours. Alternatively, fly to Lake Manyara airstrip followed by a short 15 minute road transfer to the lodge.

Kirurumu Tented Lodge has access to core areas in local forest reserves, which is used for bush walks & fly-camping. The camps pay significant annual fees for the exclusive use of these areas on a contract basis, which also stipulate protection of local wildlife & environment. Local communities benefit directly through employment as well as a levy per tourist night paid to the community.
