Tanzania - Places To Stay
Serengeti National Park - This traditional tented safari camp provides luxury in a remote location. The camp is situated close to the Grumeti River and provide excellent game viewing opportunities. The spacious safari tents are equipped with en-suite bathrooms with flush toilets and bucket showers, and both hot water and lighting is solar powered. Meals are served in the mess dining tent or under the stars. The kitchen caters for all requirements and fresh ingredients are used for all meals. Personal attention and care is very important at Mapito and staff will do their best to ensure that guests feel welcome and have a comfortable stay.
Located at Ikoma, just beyond the actual boundaries of the Serengeti National Park
On a mobile safari the camp is reached by a 4-5 hr road transfer/game drive from the Naabi Hill gate in the southeast. Alternatively, the camp is accessible by light aircraft, followed by a road transfer and game drive through the Serengeti to the camp.

Game drives. Due to its location just outside of the park game walks, night drives and cultural experiences can be arranged.
Mapito works closely with the nearby local communities, to sustain village development like school projects, wildlife management and employment.
Cash payments in TSh and USD are accepted.
Camp is closed annually during the rainy season in April and May.
