Tanzania - Places To Stay
Serengeti National Park - Sayari Camp is an exclusive, seasonal camp located in the Mara River area in the far northern Serengeti. The Tanzanian Mara River area is one of the greatest secrets of Africa, with large concentrations of animals year-round, like the Kenyan Maasai Mara, but without the vehicles. The Great Migration of zebra & wildebeest usually roam the area from mid-July to November and in this time you could witness the famous Mara River crossings. Outside the Migration season there is still plenty to see. The area boasts many resident cats, elephants, resident zebra & wildebeest, herds of topi and lesser known animals such as the bat-eared fox. The river is hippo & crocodile territory year round.
Sayari is Kiswahili for universe, capturing the vast plains and endless skies in which the camp is immersed. The camp is split into two wings each with their own dinning and lounge areas to ensure intimacy. The tents have king-size beds, en-suite bathrooms, and private verandas with a couch for relaxation. The spacious bathroom has a shower, double vanities and a ceramic environmentally friendly flush toilet. The intimate dining tents serve top quality food and the lounge tent & fire place are perfect for socialising over a drink and relaxation. After game drives, you can overlook the Serengeti Plains from the spectacular infinity pool or the privacy of your veranda.
