Experience all that the outstanding Lower Zambezi National Park has to offer; the renowned Chiawa Camp from where game drives, walks, canoe trips, fishing and river safaris are taken. Then a spectacular transfer 35 km by motorboat (or canoe) to tranquil Old Mondoro Bushcamp for walks and game drives.

Arrival in Lusaka and take a short internal flight to Jeki airstrip in the Lower Zambezi. Transfer to Chiawa Camp inside the national park. Relax and enjoy the luxurious facilities offered here. Overnight at Chiawa Camp on FB basis

Spend the next few days exploring the park and enjoying land and river-based safari activities in the vicinity of the lodge. Game drives, walking safaris, canoeing and sunset cruises are available on a daily basis.

The safari activities in the Lower Zambezi are generally organised in the morning and late afternoon with some time to relax in camp during the heat of the day. An early breakfast (around 6am) is taken before starting out, and a brunch (around 11am) will be arranged either back at camp or at a viewpoint in the bush. In the afternoon your safari guide will take a drinks order before setting off (around 4pm) - watch the sun set from your canoe or boat while drifting down the Zambezi River. Followed by a night game drive with a flashlight as the nocturnal wildlife such as hyena and genet makes an appearance. Return to the lodge for dinner (around 8pm).

Travel deeper into the park to the remote Old Mondoro Bushcamp. Relax in open fronted tree house chalets with magnificent river views. During the early morning take guided walks through some of the parks more remote landscapes. In the evening take a hot shower and retire to the dining room where a substantial evening meal is served. Overnight at Old Mondoro on FB basis

Transfer to Jeki Airstrip for your internal flight to Lusaka and your onward travel arrangements.

You can add a 4 Day Livingstone & Victoria Falls package at the start or end of your safari. You can include a variety of activities like a visit to Victoria Falls, "Flight of Angels" scenic flight, visit Mosi-ao-Tunya National Park, Whitewater Rafting, Livingstone Museum, or visit Mikuni Village. Full board accommodation at Stanley Safari Lodge or Islands of Siankaba. A variety of alternative accommodation options are also available.
