Zambia - Places To Stay
Lusaka - Thanks to the efforts of Andrew and Danae Sardanis, the Chaminuka farmland has been rehabilitated and declared a Zambian Nature Reserve. Located just outside Lusaka, the Chaminuka reserve is now the habitat of 72 species of Zambian mammals, reptiles and amphibians and some 300 species of birds. The lodge, built in the style of a Zambian Village, was opened in 1998. The lodge has 30 suites, and houses a private collection of African contemporary paintings, sculptures and traditional artifacts. There are several 'Insakas' - village style lounge areas - where guests can relax in private, enjoying the glorious panoramic views across Chaminuka's landscape.
