Zambia - Places To Stay

Chongwe River Camp
Zambezi/Chongwe Rivers Western area - Set under a complete canopy of huge Winterthorn Acacias, Chongwe occupies an unrivalled location, used twice as a base camp by David Livingstone on his travels, as well as Courtney Selous, when he hunted in his favourite wilderness. Each tent is a large walk in canvas safari tent hung from a thatch roof. Bathrooms are open-air surrounded by a stone wall for privacy and are probably the most novel bathrooms we came across in Zambia. The communal dining/bar area overlooks the Chongwe & Zambezi Rivers. Fly-camping at Bushbuck Camp available by prior arrangement.
