Kruger Safari & Beach Holiday

This South African Luxury Safari offers the opportunity to explore diverse attractions including a Kruger Big Five Safari, Swaziland, Zulu Culture and a beach holiday. Enjoy luxury accommodation in small intimate safari and beach lodges.

DAY 1-4: Kruger National Park

On arrival at Nelspruit Airport you will collect your rental car (based on Group C – Nissan Tiida or similar with Executive Cover) and make your way (approx 2.5 hrs) through the Kruger National Park to your luxury lodge situated in a private concession within the park.

You will spend 2 nights at Rhino Post Safari Lodge, and 2 nights at Plains Camp – both located in the Rhino Walking Safaris Concession. Rhino Post offers guided game drives, and Plains Camp focusses on walking safaris.  Enjoy game drives, relaxing afternoons on the sundeck with views of the nearby waterhole with abundant wildlife, sundowners and sumptuous meals accompanied by selected South African wines.

DAY 5-6: Swaziland

After breakfast and a last game drive, collect your car and continue to cross the border into Swaziland. Your next destination is Reilly’s Rock, located within Mlilwane Wildlife Sanctuary. Wander the hillside trails, view the game which includes Blue Duiker and Suni, or relax on the terraced lawns and take in the spectacular views. Begin the day with a pre-adventure breakfast on the sun deck before hiking or driving down to make use of the many activities available at Mlilwane Rest Camp. In the evening, share stories and sundowners around the campfire, followed by a dinner prepared and served by friend Swazi hosts.

DAY 7-8: Zulu Culture

Continue through the hills of Swaziland and cross the border back into South Africa and into KwaZulu Natal, one of South Africa’s most diverse provinces. For the next two nights you will be based at iSibindi Zulu Lodge, situated in a private game reserve in Zululand. An architectural celebration of the Zulu nation, the lodge is a peaceful bushveld retreat which also offers a host of activities for  guests wanting to experience a combination of luxurious accommodation, gameviewing, battlefields and Zulu cultural experiences.

Your 2 night stay includes a half day tour to a nearby Zulu Homestead where you will experience the life of a rural Zulu family which has remained largely unchanged over the past hundred years since Shaka Zulu forged this mighty nation.

DAY 9-12: Beach Holiday

Travel through a lush green landscape to the Isimangaliso Wetland Park and the Maputuland Coast.

You will be based at an exclusive luxury lodge in a remote corner of KwaZulu Natal. Mabibi is a magical place of coastal forests, grasslands, bush, shimmering lakes and exquisite sandy beaches. Its crystal clear, warm waters offer South Africa’s best snorkelling and fantastic off-shore scuba diving.

Set above a secluded bay, Thonga Beach Lodge is nestled into beautiful coastal dune forest with sweeping views of the stunning beach below. The thatched bush suites provide guest privacy and were carefully constructed to ensure minimal impact on the environment. The lodge offers luxurious accommodation, mouth-watering meals and one of the best dive sites in the South Africa.

DAY 13: Departure

After breakfast make your way over the rolling green hills of KZN towards Durban. This is the end of your tour, and you can choose to spend a couple of days in Durban exploring beaches and city attractions, or fly out of Durban airport to one of the other destinations in South Africa.
