Swakupmund Accommodation

The Stiltz: This new lodge has a unique location in Swakupmund with spectacular views over the Atlantic Ocean, the nearby sand dunes and the bird rich lagoon at the mouth of the river. You can relax here with spectacular sunsets and watch the water fowl from the comfort of your balcony. The private wooden bungalows are all built on raised platforms crossing the sandy banks of the river mouth. Each bungalow is linked by walkways to the main dining area where guests can meet in the evenings. Despite this unique location the lodge is only a few minutes walk away from the town centre itself and is ideally located for the towns coastline and its attractions such as the aquarium and fish restaurants.

Hansa Hotel: Dating back to 1905 this is Namibia’s oldest hotel and as expected has a classical architectural style which reflects the towns Germanic heritage. The hotel itself is located right in the heart of town with restaurants and gift shops literally on the doorstep. There is an air of sophistication and elegance throughout the hotels interior.

The hotel is relatively large with over 50 rooms but still remains both affordable and personal. There is free, secure parking for guests as well as free internet access as well as modern conveniences such as satellite television and air conditioning. Both the location and historical ambience of the Hansa makes the hotel an ideal centre to explore the town of Swakupmund.
