Wildlife LodgesOkonjima: Okonjima is not only a luxurious lodge but is also home to the Africat Foundation and your stay here will give you an ideal opportunity to witness their world renowned big cat conservation work. Main camp has 10 secluded rooms gathered around a swimming pool and an open fire refreshment area. The lush gardens provide shelter from the heat of the day but you are free to participate in any of the Africat activities, such as leopard tracking and feeding the cheetahs, during your stay. Okonjima also has a bush camp situated 3 km from the main lodge which provides a more intimate location. Each of the eight thatched chalets is completely private with stunning views across the reserve where oryx and kudu roam. The chalets all have mini bars, telephones and private safes so guests can relax in comfort away from the centre of the lodge. Onguma Lodge: Onguma is a private reserve on the southern edge of Etosha National Park. The reserve itself has an outstanding record of rhino conservation and this is an excellent location for viewing both black and white rhino either on foot or in a vehicle. There are also daily game drives into Etosha itself. There are twelve air conditioned brick built rooms in the main lodge and eight comfortable walk in tents in the more private tented bush camp. Each tent is en-suite with hot showers and flush toilets. At the bush camp a thatched dining area overlooks a water hole which provides an excellent location to mingle with other guests every night. Ongava Lodge: Across Etosha on the reserves eastern boundary is the Ongava private reserve which hosts Ongava tented camp and bush camp. Ongava Bush Camp offers bungalow accommodation based around a communal pool and dining area. The camp is fenced from the reserve thus making it ideal for family groups whose children can roam freely around the site. The tented camp offers a more exclusive safari camp. There are just six, air conditioned chalets set around a floodlit watering hole. Game drives in both the private reserve and Etosha itself are offered daily from the camp and the location at the eastern end of the park is within easy distance of several viewpoints across the spectacular Fishers Pan which dominated the landscape of Etosha. Gocheganas: As your tour in Namibia comes to an end Gocheganas offers the ideal location to wind down and relax. Located just 30 km south of Windhoek the private reserve is within easy access to the city and its airport. The location however is spectacular with a hilltop location for the main lodge offering outstanding sundowner views. There are 16 thatched luxurious chalets all with en-suite bathrooms and air conditioning. Guests can view wildlife within the reserve from the comfort of their rooms balcony or take one of the days guided walks or game drives. The highlight of any visit is a glimpse of the many rhino which have been introduced to the private reserve and are now carefully monitored.
