Tujatane – the Tongabezi Trust School. The school opened in 1996 to provide education for the lodge staff children. Since, the school has grown to take in children from the local community where educational funds are scarce. Education brings opportunity for the local villagers. The first classroom was built by the lodge and customer donations have helped the school expand. Anything that tourist can bring to donate is hugely welcome (e.g. old toys, books, writing materials). A visit to the school can be arranged during your stay. |
