The Tanzanite Experience is proud to announce the opening of the world's only Tanzanite Mine Visitor Centre in Merelani, situated only 70 km from Arusha, Tanzania. Learn about ethical and socially responsible tanzanite mining in a safe environment. You can also do down a proper mine shaft and have the opportunity to purchase well cut certified tanzanite from the onsite shop, where a tanzanite expert is on hand to answer any queries. On-site are also showers and rest rooms, where you can freshen up before departing for Kilimanjaro Airport, only 14 km from the mine.
