Suppliers also provide training and employment for local people, not only as cleaners & porters, but also as cooks, waiters, managers and tour guides including specialised activities such as leading dives.

In countries like South Africa where a Fair Trade in Tourism accreditation programme is in place, BAOBAB makes use of establishments that meet the stringent criteria of the programme.
