Africa`s plethora of cultures that have influenced the continent to some degree is astounding and all have left their stamp. Jordan`s ancient culture was influenced by the great Greek, Roman and Islamic civilisations. Egypt's history dates back to about 5,000 years ago and was subjected to Pharonic leadership for a substantial period of time. The Portuguese spice trade routes put East Africa well and truly on the map and were followed by Arab colonisation and European Imperialism. Just to name a few.
